Gone But Not Forgotten

A Life Member of the VOC and without a doubt was the "Master Of Ceremonies " for the VOC.

Here's Willy doing what he does best...giving another tear jerking speach.

Just another side of Willy everyone enjoyed.

At nearly every VOC Reunion you would see Willy and Brewmaster haming it up.

Our friend and comrade, Jay Will - Willy to all, passed away in early March.

Willy was a heck of a guy who had the Virago Owners Club running through his veins. In fact, he hosted our very first Family Reunion in 1983 and it didn?t stop there. There is so much to say about him, it would be hard to hit it all, except from perhaps some of his sidekicks including his late friend Brewmaster (Rich Pfeifer) and his very dear friends Bob and June Ford. He was a very friendly, loving man with a bubbly personality. He would sometimes laugh at himself, like when he would mispronounce places. For example, Gowanda or Binghamton, especially when he'd be sipping a glass of his favorite wine. He would giggle and say something about being a Pennsylvania Dutchman. That lighthearted laughter is unforgettable.

Many of you will remember that for years Willy was our Family Reunion emcee. His slooooow delivery of speeches were also memorable because of his sense of humor, his love and sincerity for this club?

and his teary eyed tributes to our fallen VOC brothers. It was those serious moments that made us all see just how much he loved this club and the people in it. Willy may have been short in stature but a giant in the eyes of everyone who knew him. We first met him in 1989 at the Family Reunion in London, Ontario, and our friendship only flourished from there. He surprised us last year by attending the Family Reunion in Front Royal,VA. What a great surprise, it was so good spending time with him again giving us a chance to have that one last memory.

I have put together a few pictures for others to enjoy. Hopefully these memories and a few of your own will bring a smile to your faces, because that is all Willy would want at this time. He is not alone, I am sure he is with his friend Brewmaster and they are probably sitting somewhere having a toddy and reminiscing about old times and this club that they worked so hard to promote. To that I say...

Willy, you and Rich will be missed by all, including me and my family.
