Wanted:
Wanted to borrow (or buy if I must) - 1984-85 Virago 1000 starter parts from working or non-working engine. Willing to pay for temporary use of these parts. I'm working on an idea to fix 1st generation starter drive engagement problems. Need temporary access to the following: LH case cover, including starter solenoid and actuation linkage, starter motor (long shaft), starter clutch, idler gear assembly (complete with gears, engagement fork and shaft). The parts will be used for research only, they will be ungharmed and returned in the same condition as rec'd. They will NOT be run in the test engine. The results of this project, if successful, will be puiblished in the VOC newsletter for all to benefit from and you will be named as the honored donor of these parts. Get your 15 minutes of fame!
