VOC Elections - Officer Duties Description


The Virago Owners Club will be holding officer elections for
President,
U.S. Vice-President
Canadian Vice-President
Treasurer
Secretary


Mail in ballots will go out with Membership Renewals.

All members in good standing (Regular and Associate) are eligible to hold office.

Officer terms are for three years.

Officer Duties:

The duties of the President shall consist of, but are not limited to, presiding over Executive Board meetings, supervising all activities, representing the organization in matters outside of the organization, assisting all officers in their duties, maintaining working relationships with other groups, overseeing and coordinating polices and guidelines that will promote the organization, it's membership, motorcycle safety and to enhance and maintain the enthusiasm of motorcycling throughout VOC.

The duties of the Vice-President shall consist of, but are not limited to, assisting the President, all committees, and performing all duties of the President in his/her absence. The Vice-President shall oversee and maintain quarterly contact with current chapters. This includes contact by phone, e-mail, newsletter or phone. He/ she is also responsible for promoting and new chapter growth.

The duties of the Secretary shall consist of, but are not limited to, handling the production of all of the organization's correspondence and special reports, recording and forwarding copies of the Executive Board's meetings minutes to the Executive Board Officers. Responsibilities include notifying board members of conference meeting information such as dialup number, meeting date and pin number. The secretary will be the conference call moderator.

The duties of the Treasurer shall consist of, but are not limited to, collecting moneys due to the club, maintaining clear and accurate records, using the organization's funds to pay all debts relating to the organization's business, and to present a financial report at each Executive Board meeting and an annual financial statement for newsletter publication.
