Here is a recent message I received from a seller on our website:
Dear Virago Owners Club, I have a For Sale ad for parting out a bike on the website and had been contacted numerous times by 'dealers' in Africa that wanted to buy my whole bike. When I told them that it was dismantled that was usually the end, until now. After numerous e-mails back and forth, I have an individual from Lagos, Nigeria that really wants to buy everything I have left. Of course, I was a little suspicious at first but now my suspicions have been confirmed. Please read his last e-mail to me and compare it to the two links from ripoffreport.com and secretservice.gov. If possible, please post some type of warning regarding buyers from Nigeria/Africa.

There is an associate of mine in the US who is owing me $6200 I am going to instruct him to send you a check for that amount, and when it clears your bank you can now send my balance by western union.The reason why i am doing this is that a check sent from over here in Africa would take like 30days or more to clear whereas a check sent within the US would clear almost immediately especially if it is a cashiers check.Although I know that the value of the check is more than the price but i am willing to trust you with my balance So if this offer is acceptable to you, let me have your contact information so that i can instruct my associate to send you a check,that is your name,address and phone number Please get back to me as soon as soon as you get this mail so that i can know your decision regards steve.I am banking on my balance so that i will be able to settle my shippers here in there local office because it is cheaper and faster.My regards to the family. note i am still on the net and will appreciate you to send me your home address and your phone number so that i can instruct my associate to send you the money right away. get back to me right now cause your reply means much in other to get back to my associate.
