"Cowboy Hurt"
Bear Meier
When you first see me, I might hear you say,
"Look at that Biker Trash going his own way."
Yes, it's true I have a beard
So did Lincoln.
And, yes, it's true I have long hair
So did Andrew Jackson.
And, yes, it's true I do wear leather,
So did Davy Crockett.
These are our ancestors. They're a lot like me.
You don't look down on them, but you sure look down on me.
But I wear the beard to protect my face from the sun,
Wind, and Stars that time can't erase.
The long hair I have - that's what I select. It's not this way because of
neglect.
The leather I wear for my own safety.
To shield me from cagers, who say "They Didn't See Me."
This bike is my life; it gives me great pride.
That all one percenters feel deep down inside.
My bike is a VIRAGO, or other brand of bike, but I honestly say
That my ancestors died, for the American Way.
Freedom is my choice, and it comes from inside me.
It makes me feel good that I can Always Ride Free.
So look at me now.
Shake your head in sorrow.
I just may be the man, who saves you tomorrow.
